Nice blend of anime and NG humour in there. Just the way I like it. It was a LOT trying to read the subs as the scenes unfolded super quick and chaotically, but well worth it, and just as great as Ep 1! Nice work Speedo and crew!!

Speedo responds:

something i hope to find a nice balance for, i like my fast paced rapid humor, but mixing that with reading subtitles could be a pain. i might make a more formal decision on that if i ever want to go down the english dub route and make it more accessible.. but for now im glad it didnt hamper it too much!

YUSSS!!!! Been waiting for the Eva Collab for what felt like 2 years...
Sorry about the fuck-up of credits. Just gonna name episode numbers instead cuz ADHD time.

Top 5:
1) Episode 1. First and Best to me lol. Excellent animation and gnarly Newgrounds stuff 'Did you just shit yourself you stupid retard??'...Maybe I did. LMAO and his dad definitely stayed in character. I can relate...

2) Episode 22. Couldn't predict anything that happened there. Had me laughing whole way through. Did Rei ever cause a shit-show or what? And the twist ending rofl.

3) Episode 24. Jerk is a double entendre here. Nicely done. Fap fap fap.

4) Episode 17. Thicc booby unit One. A big thicc Mama. Can't go wrong with that.

5) Episode 9. God damn did this one gave me about 500 grams of anxiety (then again, I have an anxiety disorder, so RIP) - but it also made me laugh a ton ; well animated too! But damn is it too relatable. Especially the part with the ghost Rei clones.

Honorable mentions:

1) Fucking NFT monkey Episode. Nuff said. The ending had a very 'positive' outcome.

2) Episode 2. It was very light and funny. Super kick ass battle, flashy and creative. Cup of Joe in LCL... Kick ass beat too. Also, Steve is a jerk for not telling the protagonist what an Angel is. Dat Steve...

3) Episode 13. Creepy and hilarious. Love how the character designs keep changing as the quality gets worse. Muaaaahhhh-Muaaaaaaahhh!!

4) Episode 15. The all Japanese dialogue and the fact they got the wrong kid...it's making me laugh just typing it out. RIP Karl.

5) Episode 20. Fucked up short, but a good one.

6) The Piano Short Segue bit... Did not expect that twist end with the sour note on the piano lol.

Totally subjective and sorry for the other awesome entries I didn't shoutout to. I loved 99% of this Collab. Good work all!! Was expecting a jumpscare after the credits lmao.

Pardon the EDITS...running on 28 hours of no sleep thus far.

EDIT) Got some sleep and saw you guys' comments about how I'm a total retard and messed up the credits/titles. So I got to work to trying to fix the Listing. Probably failed again. Oh well. Autistic screeching. SHINJIIIII~

Thank you!

I love a movie that shows more than tells. Love the stuff going on in the foreground. Cool design of the world. Excellent homage to Tim Burton and Brother's Grim. Audio is great, there is even attention to Panning and room-space. Instrumentation is on point, great composition and campy vibe. Just about every emotion is here. The theme/plot is also a mystery...I love trying to solve what the movie is about.

Overall: "The Man Who Ruled" is campy, dark, dismal, twisted, tongue in cheek, an emotional roller-coaster (literally) and doesn't waste a second of screen time. Can't compliment you enough PedroZorilla, beautiful work.

PedroZorrilla responds:

Thank you so much for your comment, i really appreciate your insight.

I love the sound design here. Got a Dexter's Lab meets Invader Zim vibe haha. Visually, it's neat too, I love the low-frame animation to give it a more spooky feel. That ear worm is disturbing and cute at once lol. (EDIT) Can you do more of Orla's Ear worm? :D

AntonM responds:

Thanks dexters lab is one of my all time favos

Nice work guys. Love the retro NG vibes. Brings me back to 2005 hahaha. Sound quality is neat too.

Think the only thing I didn't do true to G-Mod was have a character flail all over xD

Hi all!! I am a seasoned ReMixer and Original Works composer.
I am inspired by the VGM classics from the likes of Kenji Yamomoto, Michiru Yamane, David Wise and many, many more! I love blending ambience with groove, especially...
